Why a Tree Is Sadaqah Jariyah

Rooted in Our Communities
Trees are raised and planted through HBSMWA’s work in and around Karachi, tied to our schools and orphanage projects so there are hands on the ground to water and protect them as they grow.

Plant a Tree in Someone’s Name
Dedicate a tree to a parent, a spouse, or a loved one who has passed — a living Isaal-e-Sawab that grows and gives on their behalf, year after year. Their name appears on the tree in the grove.

Is planting a tree a Sadaqah Jariyah?
Yes. The Prophet ﷺ taught that when a Muslim plants a tree and a person, bird or animal eats from it, it is counted as a charitable gift (ṣadaqah) for them — reward that continues to flow long after the tree is planted, and even after death. That makes a planted tree one of the clearest forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. (Sahih al-Bukhari 2320; Sahih Muslim 1553 — reference to be confirmed by our scholar.)
How much does it cost to plant a tree?
From ₨800 (about £3) for a single sapling. You can also plant 3 or 5 trees, or the Azadi package of 14 trees for 14 August. Prices are provisional pending our nursery quote and may be adjusted before launch.
Can I dedicate a tree to someone who has passed away?
Yes. Many donors plant a tree as Isaal-e-Sawab — sending reward to a parent, spouse or loved one who has passed. Add their name in the dedication field and it appears on your tree in the grove.
What is the grove on this page?
It is a live wall of every tree pledged in this campaign. Your tree appears as an amber sapling the moment you pledge, and turns into a full green tree once we confirm your bank transfer.
