Where Does My Donation Go? Inside HBSMWA's Work

Published by HBSMWA · 6 July 2026 · 6 min read

Short Answer

Your donation goes directly into the programme you choose — wells, mosques, orphan care, rations, flood relief or education — under HBSMWA's 100% donation policy, with Zakat kept strictly separate and photo proof for distributions.

A completed mosque built by HBSMWA donors in Pakistan

“Where does my money actually go?” is the most important question a donor can ask — and the one too many charities answer with vague percentages. Here is our concrete answer: the actual projects, standing today in Pakistan, that donations like yours have built.

The Programmes Your Donations Fund

Mosques with Free Madrassas

Completed mosques serve daily prayers, each with a free madrassa attached where children learn the Qur'an.

Mosque appeal

HBS Schooling System

Our functioning school educates around 300 students — roughly 80 orphans study completely free, and 45 students are memorising the Qur'an in the Hifz programme.

Water Wells

Hand pumps and wells across rural Pakistan, each with a donor name plaque and completion photos sent to the donor.

Water well appeal

Monthly Ration Distributions

Food packs — rice, flour, oil, sugar, dry milk — delivered to hundreds of verified destitute families every month.

Feed the poor

Flood Relief

Emergency food, clean water, medical care and shelter for flood-displaced families, with ground teams and photographic reporting.

Orphan Care & Mango Pir Orphanage

One-to-one orphan sponsorship, plus an orphanage and madrasa under construction in Mango Pir, Karachi.

How the Money Is Handled

  • 100% donation policy: no administration fees are deducted from your gift — the full amount goes to the cause you selected.
  • Zakat separation: Zakat is distributed only to eligible recipients — verified poor families, orphans and widows — never spent on buildings or public works. Wells and mosques are funded from Sadaqah and Lillah.
  • Cause-specific allocation: a water well donation builds a well; a Gaza donation goes to the Gaza fund — see the full journey in how your Gaza donation works.
  • Direct supervision: all programmes run under HBSMWA's founder and CEO, Hafiz Abdul Qadir — a short chain of custody, not layers of subcontractors.

How You Can Verify It

Proof, not promises: well donors receive completion photos of their well with its name plaque. Mosque donors follow construction updates. Sponsors receive progress reports on their specific child. Ration and flood distributions are photographed as standard. Browse the evidence yourself on Our Projects and the photo gallery, or read our checklist on choosing a trustworthy Islamic charity and hold us to it.

A Smaller Charity Is a Shorter Chain

Large charities do vital work at scale — but scale adds layers, and layers add cost and distance. HBSMWA's model is deliberately short: your donation, our own ground team, the family in need. When you donate, you are not funding a head office. You are funding the pump handle a child in Sindh will press tomorrow morning.

Give with Certainty

Choose a cause and see your impact — 100% of your donation reaches it.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where does my donation to HBSMWA go?

Directly into the programme you choose: water wells, mosque construction, orphan sponsorship, monthly food rations, flood relief, education at the HBS Schooling System, or the Mango Pir orphanage. HBSMWA operates a 100% donation policy — no admin fees are deducted from your gift — and documents distributions with photographs.

How do I know my donation was actually used?

HBSMWA photographs and documents its distributions — wells carry donor name plaques, well and mosque donors receive completion photos and reports, ration distributions are photographed, and child sponsors receive progress reports on their specific child.

Is my Zakat kept separate from other donations?

Yes. Zakat is handled under its own rules — distributed only to eligible recipients from the eight Qur'anic categories, such as verified poor families, orphans and widows. Public projects like wells and mosques are funded from Sadaqah and Lillah, never from Zakat.

Is HBSMWA a registered charity?

Yes. HBSMWA (Hassan Bin Sabit Memorial Welfare Association) is a registered welfare organisation in Pakistan, working under the direct supervision of its founder and CEO, Hafiz Abdul Qadir.

What has HBSMWA actually completed?

Completed projects include mosques with free madrassas attached, the functioning HBS Schooling System educating around 300 students (about 80 orphans free of charge), water wells across rural Pakistan, ongoing monthly ration distributions, and flood relief operations. The Mango Pir orphanage is under construction.
